In this series I look at varied forms of self expression from the beautiful work of Alex Bishop, with his six stringed creations that blur the line between functionality and art, to the intricate work of Stephen Thompson at the .

The Found Image is a collection of photographs from my archive that are 'sui generis',  the image exists within its own framework and is not part of larger narrative as is the case with most reportage photography.

These photographs are here to be viewed as individual and not part of genre, there is no intended thematic or stylistic link. The goal is for the image to be judged purely on aesthetic terms.

#Iceland

Lying at the juncture of the Atlantic and the Arctic Oceans, Iceland with a population of approximately 330,000 and a land mass just smaller than that of England. It lies just south of the Arctic Circle and it's known for its stunning natural beauty. 

#Portugal

The Portuguese Empire was the first and longest lived of the modern European colonial empires, in what became known as the Age of Discovery, Portuguese explorers pioneered maritime exploration.that saw them establish colonies from South America to South East Asia. The legacy being an estimated 250 million Portuguese speakers today.

Morocco is the only African country to have both a Atlantic and a Mediterranean coastline. Seen today as progressive Muslim state, Morocco is famed as much for its stunning natural beauty as it is for it's culture.

#Africa

In the last few years The Great Football Giveaway has hand delivered over 25,000 footballs and netballs direct to kids in some of the poorest rural areas of Over time, with the support of football fans and players, they aim to go to more countries across Africa and Asia suffering poverty, more refugee camps, and where appropriate more areas of civil conflict - wherever kids are denied the chance to kick a ball about and enjoy their childhood, TGFG will go.Malawi, Uganda, Angola, Zambia and Rwanda (inc DR Congo) and Tanzania.
